Job Description
The Account Manager – Roofing Contractor Accounts is a vital role within our organization, responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with roofing contractors. This role will focus on managing existing accounts, participating in project roof walks, attending sales events and meetings, and overseeing the process of quote execution. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of roofing industry practices, and a proven track record of successful account management.

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field OR equivalent work experience in a sales/account management role.
- Proven experience in account management within the roofing or construction industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of roofing materials, installation practices, and project requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain successful client relationships.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and project management tools.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to travel nationwide for roof walks, industry events, and client meetings as needed.
- Familiarity with the products and services offered by the company and a willingness to continually expand product knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Responsibilities/Duties
1: Account Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned roofing contractor accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate contacts within the contractor organizations.
- Understand the specific needs and objectives of each contractor account to provide tailored solutions and support.
2: Project Roof Walks
- Participate in on-site roof walks to assess project requirements, provide technical insights, and gather relevant information for accurate quoting and project planning.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure a thorough understanding of project scope, site conditions, and potential challenges.
3: Sales Events and Meetings
- Attend industry-related sales events, conferences, and meetings to represent the company and establish new relationships with roofing contractors.
- Deliver presentations, showcase company offerings, and engage in networking opportunities to expand the contractor network.
4: Quote Execution Management
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, estimating, and operations to facilitate the timely and accurate execution of project quotes.
- Ensure that quotes align with project specifications, industry standards, and contractor expectations.
- Coordinate follow-up communication to address any inquiries, revisions, or concerns related to quotes.
5: Contractor Support
- Provide technical assistance, product information, and guidance to roofing contractors throughout project lifecycles.
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve conflicts, and offer proactive solutions to enhance contractor satisfaction and project success.
6: Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that capitalize on market insights and drive business growth.
7: Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, communications, and project details using appropriate software tools.
- Generate regular reports on account activities, project progress, and sales performance to inform management decisions.
