Financial Controller

Purpose of the Job Role

To lead accounting operations for KATTSAFE USA

Reports To

General Manager

Finance Team

Primary Responsibilities:

This position exists to help KATTSAFE USA set up and manage financial controls, procedures, and reporting requirements. As financial controller you will be the chief steward of the company data being responsible for ensuring the ERP system companywide is capturing the data correctly and efficiently. Your job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creation and management of internal controls
  • Preparation of accurate timely monthly financial reports for management
  • Taking the lead in data management including Financial Data, ERP data and other operational data that affects all areas of the business.
  • Take the lead in managing Pricing, Costs & Gross Profit
  • Take the lead in preparing and managing the overall company budget.
  • Take the lead in tax compliance.

Performance Objectives:

KATTSAFE USA promotes the best quality fall protection systems on the market. This means we must have accurate daily & monthly data and reporting to ensure our customers and performance objectives are met. Your responsibility will be to keep the company profit within the budged amount quarterly and yearly and to manage the cash conversion cycle monthly along with other KPI’s as determined from time to time.

Education/Experience Required:

Experience in leading a finance department or being actively involved in day-to-day financial management preferably within a production environment.  Good computer knowledge, good knowledge of the English language including reading and writing, A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related finance discipline or commensurate combination of education and experience. Experience in ERP implementation and data management is a requirement.

Certifications/Licenses Required:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent preferred; or a minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience required.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Take overall responsibility for the finance team and provide insights and recommendations to Senior Management
  • Manage the month end process to ensure financial reports are done accurately and on time.
  • Create financial reports monthly and present to Senior Management
  • Participate with Senior Management to establish short-term and long-range planning and budget development. Meet monthly with key department managers to review their budgets.
  • Support rapid organizational growth by creating processes to ensure data is accurate and actionable.
  • ERP lead ensuring data is entered and reported accurately
  • Ensure Payables are entered and paid on time weekly
  • Ensure Bank Reconciliations are completed on time monthly
  • Ensure Receivables are kept within terms and follow up on outstanding Receivables weekly.
  • Take the lead in Gross Profit review, reviewing this at the monthly finance management meeting.
  • Ensure the company is kept compliant with tax regulations federally and in Indiana and any other states in which the company is doing business
