It is that time of the year again for a week of focus on safety in the construction industry. This year’s National Safety Stand-Down runs from May 3rd to May 7th. Fall Protection was yet again the #1 most cited standard, so the education and focus on roof safety remains a top priority in the industry. Ladders also came in at #5 and Fall Protection – Training Requirements at #8. OSHA lays out its plan for a safety stand-down on its website.

The team at Kattsafe has also put together some material for you to have a safety stand-down. We recommend that you start by taking our new High Five ‘Rooftop Hazard Identification Test’ to see how many roof access and fall protection hazards you can identify. Once you take the test we recommend that you view our High Five ‘OSHA Compliant Roof Safety’ sheet.
